Third week of August

I can't believe August is almost over already! It has been extremely hot here the past couple of weeks. We have had an excessive heat warning almost everyday. We finally got some nicer temps this past weekend, and some rain.

The boys had football practice every night this week, and dd had soccer practice two nights. Thankfully dh is on vacation, and my mother was able to help out. The kids did quite a bit of swimming this past week, which was fun for them. We took the kids to the lake this past week for tubing and swimming, it was alot of fun watching them. DD and I had a nice evening at home the other night, dh went to a football game, and my mother and taken the boys to football. Not to many times have we had the house to ourselves. I did quite a bit of cleaning this week, which doesn't seem to happen much, as it puts me in alot of pain with the fibro that I have.

Yesterday was dd's b-day party. It went very well, many girls from her soccer team came to it, as many family members. They all swam and ate. DD is very shy, and doesn't know all of them real well. I've also had my 2 nephews here with me, they are 5 and 3, they have been good boys, and ds7 has played well with them.

Second week of August

Well it's been a bit since I have posted, I would like to keep up at least once a week. Last weekend we went to my nephew's first b-day party, they had a pool party at his house. That evening dh and I went out to dinner and rode the motocycle.

My boys started football practice last week, which is very time consuming in this hot weather. We have had an excessive heat warning everyday for days now. DD is playing soccer on her same team as in the spring, so that also keeps us busy. My mother helps out quite a bit with this sports stuff, which is a big help to us.

I took the children to our state fair this past week, it was very hot, but nice to go anyways. I got some much needed cleaning done yesterday, while dh did our Target shopping, I have been in alot of pain today from cleaning, so it doesn't get done as much as it used to. We have been out at the pool yesterday and today, and we tried a new church this morning, which everyone liked very much.

August 2nd

Today was another hot day outside. We had school today, I have been logging our stuff on homeschool tracker, but it's not exactly what I'm looking for, so I'm going to break down and buy edutracker. I have heard good things about it. I have not felt well at all today, very bad headache, and my neck pain just keeps getting worse and worse. My dd and I are studying geology, so I will post a pic of our experiment. Here is a pic also of me trying to take a pic of ds10 jumping off the diving board, I didn't get him in time....lol....

Today ds10 saw the birds down in our nest, and their faces were just poking out. Very cute and sweet. Well I am very tired tonight.

July 30th

Today is dear hubby's b-day, he is 38!!! Today was a school day for us, it was kinda rainy out, but hot. We had dinner with my mom at our local diner tonight. I sat outside this evening and watched the boys play flag football. My dd got an MP3 player, with her b-day money from May, so she is really liking it. It's not my favorite thing for her to have, to me it's another "gadget", but she is very happy, and I know she will not abuse using it to much. Tonight we sat outside and watched some amazing fireworks, wow, these people never stop around here.

All in all it was a good day! I'm posting some pictures from our vacation last year to Hawaii. I just learned about all this computer and picture stuff, so I'm having fun with it, and learning.

July 29th

This is my first post on my blog. I am still learning how to do this, and I'm not real good at this computer stuff. Today was a hot day here in Missouri. We started the day off by getting the house in order, and cleaned up. Dad and the kids worked outside, mowing and doing different things. Our backyard area is pretty much completed except for the planting. This is a picture of it. We just finished up football camp this past week.

We all went swimming for a bit today, and sat outside. My mom came over while we were out there. We ended up taking her out to dinner, and going to look in a pet shop for fun. Were trying to talk her into getting a dog. I really like this blog site, I have tried others, and they were just to difficult for me to figure out. Dh went to bed early, he gets up extra early for work tomorrow. My mom took the kids to walmart to buy dh a b-day present, tomorrow is his b-day, he'll be 38. They bought him one of those small refrigerators. Well I'm off for the evening.
